COMOS - Smart Diagrams

Diagrams in COMOS don´t store only drawing information of plant assets. In diagrams, you can create connections between equipment, navigate to the object structure, access equipment properties, navigate to other documents, and so on. Furthermore, COMOS stores in objects several symbols that represent the same equipment in different types of diagrams. Therefore, when dragging an object to a specific diagram, the system displays the symbol corresponding to the diagram in the screen, keeping the symbology information and technical data of the plant assets centralized in a single object. Therefore, it is common to say that diagrams in COMOS are smart.
As usual, I have prepared a very short video to demonstrate how it works. In this video, I show, side by side, three diagrams used in electrical projects: single-line diagram, cabinet design and three-line diagram. By dragging a protection switch from the object structure towards the diagrams, you see COMOS displaying a specific symbol for each drawing.
Next, I show you how easy it is to draw the protection switch and how to open its properties from the diagram.
