COMOS - Single and Centralized Database

Release date: 17/09/2022

COMOS works with a single and centralized database, so that information updated in one place in the system is quickly updated throughout the system, almost immediately.

Think of a user updating the technical data of a pump displayed through several points within the system. Since COMOS works with a single database, if the user updates any of this data through a screen or document, COMOS will be responsible for displaying the updated information throughout the system.

To illustrate how it works, I have prepared a short video showing the pump properties window, the data sheet and the process diagram (P&ID) at the same screen. The video shows the pump suction height updating in each of the three window. First, I update height using pump properties window, next I do the same within data sheet, and finally, height is updated in the P&ID. Note that changes made within each windows can be seen in the other two almost instantaneously.

Who is Lucy Regis?

Hi, my name is Lucy Regis and I have worked years in small and large projects with COMOS.

As a result, I have gathered more than a decade of experience using the software.

I have been through several companies and projects, as a trainer and consultant, and I provided training in 3 languages for companies in different countries.

So now, I have started my own company, Engecode, and started to help people and companies that want to get the best experience using COMOS.

I really believe that COMOS can increase productivity and significantly improve the process of industrial plants. For this reason, I know I am on the right track.
